For more than 50 years the Algoma Angus
Cattle have been defining Performance with practical efficiency. The cows are bred 100% AI to the best sires available
in the Angus breed, enabling us to continue to produce cattle with economic functionality that will benefit
us as well as our customers now and in the future.
- The Algoma cows are sound, fertile, functional
females that work hard and wean heavy calves year after year. WE DON'T OWN A CREEP FEEDER, the weights are from milk
and native pasture.
- Moderate birth
weight, RAPID growth, and genetics that are passed on in their calves.
- Natural muscling, Carcass Quality, Maternal traits, all in an eye appealing package.
- Great udders that will hold up for the lifetime of the cow.
- The bulls have sound feet and legs. From weaning they are conditioned on a steep juniper covered hillside to prepare them for the
upcoming breeding season and contribute to longivity for future years of service.
BUCHANAN ANGUS RANCH A TRUE PERFORMANCE PROGRAM where performance does
not START at the feed bunk
Robert, Kathleen
Buchanan and Family 13490 Algoma Rd Klamath Falls, Oregon 541-883-8471
Look for this {B LAZY A} brand on the left shoulder.
When you use
the right genetics you can get the growth and weaning weights without the extra input of expensive feed. Our cows have to
work for a living, without making more work and expense for us. They are treated like commercial cows with no Creep feed for
the calf or the cow. The pairs graze native grasses and get a free choice mineral as their only supplement.
CAN YOUR COWS DO THIS???
"Algoma Golden Harvest 472B ",
a "Sitz Wisdom 481T" daughter, ( who
is a full sister to Algoma Golden Hooter 527B, who was at stud in Montana, at ORIgen.)
Doing this without help, no creep for her calf,
just her milk and native grass.
